CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT ABORTION ACCESS DURING COVID-19

If you have decided to terminate a pregnancy and cannot afford a safe, legal abortion, call a clinic and tell them that you need financial assistance. Don’t delay. Abortion costs go up very quickly after the first trimester.

Most clinics in Ohio work with Women Have Options—we work with clinics in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, and Toledo. These clinics will work to help those who need assistance with abortion costs.

FIRST, BEFORE CONTACTING US OR OTHER FUNDS, PLEASE CALL THE CLINICS NEAREST YOU. FIND OUT THE COST OF AN ABORTION, AND SET UP AN APPOINTMENT. Abortion is a time-sensitive procedure. It is extremely important that you call to set up an appointment with a clinic immediately.

You may need to call several clinics to find the best price. Some clinics may not be able to help you if you are further along in your pregnancy. If you need financial help, ask the clinic if they can refer you to any abortion assistance funds (local, state and nationwide) that can help you. See below for more information about financial assistance.

Please contact one of the clinics below as soon as possible to discuss your situation. In Ohio, we mostly provide assistance through our partner clinics.

* If you are an Ohioan seeking abortion access out of state due to restrictions or are at risk of missing your appointment because you don't have the funds, transportation or are experiencing other logistical issues, please email help@womenhaveoptions.org or call 614-300-7811. We may be able to help.

Need help finding a clinic? Below are some clinics we directly work with, and you can find your closest clinic at ineedana.com and current national lists of providers and at the National Abortion Federation or Planned Parenthood.

MORE FUNDING & TRAVEL SUPPORT INFORMATION

Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood has a national financial assistance fund for patients going to Planned Parenthood clinics. If you are going to a Planned Parenthood clinic and need financial help to access the care you need, be sure to ask for it!

NAF

The National Abortion Federation has a national financial assistance fund for patients going to NAF clinics (don’t know if you’re going to a NAF clinic? Check HERE.) It can take a long time to get through, but can be worth the effort. Their number: 1-800-772-9100. They are open weekdays: 7:00 A.M.-11:00 P.M. Eastern time Saturdays and Sundays: 9:00 A.M.-9:00 P.M. They also provide case management services for patients with special needs, and limited financial assistance to help subsidize care and travel-related expenses.

Midwest Access Coalition

MAC is a practical abortion fund. They do not provide financial assistance for abortion procedures—instead, they assist with the other costs and difficulties associated with getting an abortion. If you are traveling to, from or within the Midwest to access safe and legal abortion services, they host and help with transportation.
